The management of DK Company A/S is committed to ensure all human and labour rights in the entire supply chain, including sub-contracting.
This policy relies on the following:
Amfori Code of Conduct
Best practices outlined by the UN Guiding Principles (UNGP) on Business and Human Rights
International Labour Organization (ILO)
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
Subcontracting is permitted provided that suppliers are disclosing all associated factories/subcontractors used for manufacturing our products in accordance with the DK Company Onboarding Program.
By duly filling in and uploading requested documents as well as signing the program, the supplier is committing to uphold the listed policies of DK Company A/S throughout the associated supply chain.
Our local DK Company Audit & Compliance Teams are visiting the approved and activated suppliers as well as their authorized associated factories to support, monitor and influence developments and standards.
We can improve supply chain standards and believe that conversation about key sourcing terms, as well as training, is the most effective way of building trust and tackling unauthorized subcontracting in the long term.
To improve supply chain transparency, DK Company A/S is working together with the approved Tier 1 suppliers and authorized associated factories, to gradually develop transparency of lower tiers’ suppliers. Suppliers and factories are additionally trained and guided to join our external Tracing- & Certificate Manager Platform for further location mapping, registrations of valid 3rd part Audit reports, Product scopes/certifications as well as Environmental Assessments and Audits.
Using sub-contractors, which are not pre-approved, is prohibited and will be considered a serious breach of our trust & business relation; causing re-evaluation of future cooperation.
In case irregularities are discovered or suspected, our local DK Company Audit & Compliance Teams are entitled to conduct an immediate onsite investigation at the supplier/factory in question. DK Company A/S expect supplier, business partner and factory to be cooperative and present during the full investigation to ensure situation is addressed in compliance with our policies agreed upon and to make a plan/agreement accordingly.
Over the years increased focus and best practice efforts have been initiated to track and prevent irregularities and UAS. Lately our local DK Company Audit-, Compliance- and QC Teams are intensifying the UAS Risk management further, by adding country specific and targeted action plans on top of e.g. random and unannounced facility visits, inspections etc. Factories and workers shall be guided and trained to better understand the risks of UAS and the ambition of reducing UAS.
